An electrician is responsible for proper design of electrical wiring according to the load requirements and functionality following the safety standards. Various types of switching arrangements, control circuitry and machine windings are essential technologies used in buildings and machines.

Applicants for the Industrial Electrician Certificate Program are required to have completed a Diploma (DAE) in electrical, mechanical or industrial processing or a matriculation with related field experience.

Electrical wiring design
Electrical load distribution and balancing
Layout of electrical wiring conduits and wires as per design
Capability to test building and industrial electrical systems for compatibility and safety
using devices like ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, voltmeters
Design of control and switching circuitry
Electrical windings of transformers and motors
Observe electrical rules regarding safety and operation
Prepare electrical drawings, i.e., current path layout and wiring diagram
Use basic electrical machines including lathe machine, drill machine, grinding machine, generators, transformers, etc.
Design domestic and industrial wiring diagram according to load requirements and distribution.
Lay domestic, commercial and industrial conduits and wires as per specifications.
Shooting a professional video
Design, operate and troubleshoot control circuits
Troubleshoot electrical motors, generators, transformers and their windings.
Test & overhaul electrical machines
This certificate offered by the National Skills University has 11 modules. Each module has been prepared by professionals working in the field. Each module's primary focus is to provide students with the necessary skills and abilities of industrial automation.
