Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) is an increasingly important discipline that significantly serves many other disciplines. It is in great demand in both developed and developing nations. The Electrical Engineering Technology department at National Skills University (NSU) is developed to further advance the state of Electrical technology since it is important to have strong programs to educate and train individuals in this key discipline.
The Electrical Engineering Technology major aims to equip students with the various basic and advanced technical skills necessary to adapt new scientific knowledge of electrical technology. The function and understanding of electrical principles are crucial in today's world. The EET program will provide a comprehensive study of electrical principles and practices. Everything from our lights to computers operates with the help of electricity and electrical & electronics components. The EET program at NSU will flourish students with the skills to perform entry-level roles in several industry disciplines, including power systems operation and protection, maintenance and commissioning, electrical machines, industrial and commercial design, power electronics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Students will develop a strong understanding of key competencies in circuits, analog and digital electronics, computer design, electronic materials, controls and automation, power and machinery and technical documentation.
Electrical Engineering Technologist can bridge the gap between scientific advancement and practical electrical devices and systems. Research in all fields of electrical engineering has produced an abundance of new knowledge in recent years. Many of these advanced scientific achievements have been unused due to the shortage of engineering technologists specifically educated to convert scientific information into practical devices and systems. Electrical engineering technologists assist electrical engineers in activities such as process control, electrical power distribution and instrumentation design. Unlike electrical engineers, engineering technologists often work in the production environment in order to address problems and fix them. Technologists determine when machines need to be replaced, and replace the parts and determine the costs of doing so. They work hand-in-hand with electrical engineers to help their ideas come to life.
National Skills University initiate the Electrical Engineering Technology program under the umbrella of Higher Education Commission (HEC) and National Technology Council (NTC). If you want to focus on the application of concepts rather than math-intensive courses, this may be the program for you.
