His expertise and area of interest are artificial intelligence and deep learning, with a particular emphasis on employing deep neural networks towards: (a) the recognition of human activities, and (b) the detection of cardiac arrhythmias by examining intricate ECG patterns.
Mr. Saad Irfan Khan is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Engineering Technology at National Skills University, Islamabad. He has completed his MS degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from CUST, Islamabad. In 2021 and 2022, he published two research papers; one being in the special issue of MDPI Sensors.
Mr. Saad has over 3 years of industrial and teaching experience in different private and public organizations. Previously, he worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Hamdard University Islamabad, and as a Research Associate at CUST Islamabad. Mr. Saad has taught a variety of courses throughout this time, including Mobile Application Development, Artificial Intelligence, and Introduction to Programming. He has also worked as a Lab Instructor and later as a Developer for the ERASMUS+ project titled “SAFE Rural Health” at CUST Islamabad. Prior to that, he was employed by the "Catalyst GIK Incubator" at the Ghulam Ishak Khan Institute (GIKI), Swabi, as a Co-Founder of the group "E-Opticians" (now known as "Optikals"). Mr. Saad is capable of bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and excitement to the classroom and is dedicated to improving student achievement.
