Dr. Kazmi has more than 44 years of rich experience of teaching, research and administration in higher education and research organizations. Currently She is serving as Vice Chancellor, Women University, Sawabi, KPK. She has published more than 100 papers on her research findings in scientific journals with Impact Factor. She received Certified Trainings in Molecular Biology, Biological, Chemical Safety and Biosecurity, Risk Assessment, using BSL -2, BSL 3 and Disaster Management in several international institutions as well as attended courses organized by American Biological Safety Association –USA. In recognition of her services in the area of Microbiology, American Society for Microbiology honored her with Country Liaison of the Year Award in 2011 and ASM Ambassador of the Year Award for Pakistan in 2017. As a member of National Task Force on Vaccine Development and Technical Committee (TAC) of National Biosafety Centre - Ministry of Environment – Government of Pakistan, she has contributed to the effective production of safe and economical vaccines in Pakistan, development of national guidelines for safe application of gene transfer, genetic technologies, DNA Research addressing scientific, ethical, social and biosecurity issues in research and provided training in Microbiological, Human , Animal and Plant Biosafety Practices.

In order to create awareness and provide training, identifying biosafety and biosecurity requirements and national institutional capacity building, she successfully established Pakistan Society for Microbiology (PSM) in 1974 and Biosafety Association of Pakistan (www.bsapk.org) in 2007 in collaboration with ASM / ABSA / BEP – USA , PMRC, PARC, COMSTEC, Pakistan. As the Founder Chairman of Biosafety Association of Pakistan (BSAP) an Affiliate of ABSA, she has been able to organize 12 Int. Conferences of Microbiology, 58 Training Workshops on Biosafety and Biosecurity in Pakistan with the help of more than 2700 members in different HEALTHCARE, AGRICULTURE AND ACADEMIC RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS.
