NSU Skill Fellow Endowment Fund

The National Skills University (NSU) Islamabad has launched the Skills Fellows Endowment Fund — a groundbreaking initiative designed to equip underprivileged youth with vocational skills essential for a thriving future. The fund provides merit- and need-based scholarships for short-term, skill-focused programs. Special focus is given to orphans, differently-abled individuals, and youth who lack the financial means for training.

Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship Program (BUSP)

BUSP is a significant initiative aimed at providing merit and need-based scholarships to deserving students. This program is a collaboration between Higher Education Commission and Benazir Income Support Program, which seeks to empower students by alleviating the financial burdens associated with higher education.

We are proud to inform that National Skills University Islamabad has been shortlisted to participate in this esteemed program. For Fall 2021 session, 115 students from six different departments submitted their applications. After a thorough evaluation process, 92 students were found eligible. Subsequently, interviews were conducted on March 2, 2022, and the Scholarship Award Committee selected 15 needy students to receive this scholarship.

Prime Minister's National Laptop Scheme

The Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan announced that government will provide laptops to talented students. The project aims to give opportunities in the form of laptops to the young and talented students studying in public sector Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) across the country and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Under this scheme, laptops were distributed to the following 33 outstanding students of National Skills University Islamabad based on their academic performance:

Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF)

PEEF, an initiative of the government of Punjab, provides opportunities to needy and talented students to fulfill their dreams and aspirations and at the same time to become partner in the development and welfare of Pakistan. The following students from National Skills University (NSU) have been receiving semester-wise stipends:

Dr. Sadiq Foundation (DSF) Scholarship

DSF is a certified non-profit organization, dedicated to sustainably uplifting communities by providing access to healthcare, education, and skills. Their initiatives have positively impacted numerous patients and supported thousands in completing their education or establishing meaningful careers, particularly focusing on widows, individuals with disabilities, and the socially marginalized. DSF is supporting various students of NSU enrolled in short courses by covering the fees of financially underprivileged students.

National Skills University Islamabad has framed its own Scholarship and Financial Assistance Regulations, recommended by the Academic Council during its 3rd meeting held on October 10, 2024. These regulations will be available for students to apply once approved by NSU Senate. Furthermore, the university is actively pursuing collaborations with various NGOs and organizations, such as Bait-ul-Maal, Pak Women, Benevolent Fund etc., to provide support to deserving students.
