Dr. Syed Hafeez Ahmad is an academic leader with over 20 years of experience in public sector higher education, focusing on governance, leadership and reform. Currently serving as the Registrar at National Skills University (NSU) Islamabad, Dr. Ahmad oversees the institution’s administrative and academic functions, ensuring that NSU remains at the forefront of skills-based education in Pakistan. His leadership is instrumental in promoting innovation and excellence in education that aligns with both national/international standards and industrial needs.

Dr. Ahmad holds a doctoral degree in Human Resource Management and has previously served as Additional Registrar and Additional Controller of Examinations at Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar, Pakistan. During his tenure at KMU, he contributed significantly to academic leadership and university governance, playing a key role in enhancing the university’s examination systems and administrative processes.

In addition to his administrative roles, Dr. Ahmad is the founder and team leader of the Career Development & Research Centre, Peshawar. This initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship and research opportunities among students and faculty, encouraging innovation and bridging the gap between academia and industry.

With a deep passion for public sector higher education reforms, Dr. Ahmad is dedicated to improving educational policies and systems in Pakistan. He has a special interest in sustainable development within higher education and is actively seeking postdoctoral opportunities in this area to further his research and contribute to global educational development.

Dr. Ahmad’s career reflects his deep commitment to the enhancement of higher education, particularly in the fields of medical and skills-based education. His expertise includes academic governance, policy development, and organizational leadership. Through his roles at both KMU and NSU, he has consistently worked to ensure that students receive an education that is both rigorous and practical, equipping them with the skills needed for success in today’s competitive job market. Besides he holds a leadership role as Director at the Dawn Harvard School System Shakas, Jamrud, District Khyber, KPK- a charity based newly established educational set up where he contributes significantly to enhancing the academic standards of the institution.
