Having an interest and expertise in human genetics and epidemiology, Dr Arif has developed, executed, and completed various national level projects, developed guidelines, national action plan and policy documents on major health issues of the country.
Dr. Muhammad Arif Nadeem Saqib is an Associate Professor and Chairperson in the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) at National Skills University, Islamabad. He earned his bachelor’s degree in MLT from the National Institute of Health, Islamabad, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry with specialization in human genetic from the Department of Biochemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad. He went to University of Lausanne, Switzerland for his PhD internship under International Research Support Initiative Program Fellowship funded by Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.
With a career experience of about 14 years, Dr Arif has served as Assistant Manager Operation at Excel Lab (Pvt) Ltd Islamabad and Senior Research Officer at Pakistan Health Research Council, Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination, Islamabad. He also worked as faculty member at Dept of Life Sciences at University of Management Technology, Lahore and visiting faculty at Quaid -i-Azam University, Islamabad.
