Dr. Saud Altaf, a distinguished academic, currently holds the position of Professor and Chairperson in the Information Engineering Technology Department at the esteemed National Skills University Islamabad, Pakistan. With a career spanning two decades, Dr. Altaf previously dedicated his expertise to the University Institute of Information Technology at PMAS - Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Moreover, he boasts extensive 05 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in different institutes in New Zealand. Dr. Altaf's academic journey led him to achieve a Ph.D. from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in New Zealand in 2015. His educational credentials also include a Master's degree in Computer Science from Iqra University in Islamabad, Pakistan, attained in 2007. In the realm of research and scholarship, Dr. Altaf has made significant research contributions. He is an accredited Ph.D. supervisor approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, and he has consistently received exceptional scores in teacher evaluations, with a highest rating. He has supervised 5 Ph.D. students and 14 MS-CS students. His work has left an indelible mark and has been cited in numerous publications, a testament to his profound impact on the field. Dr. Altaf's research interests are diverse, encompassing areas such as wireless sensor networks, biomedical signal and image processing, cyber-physical system (CPS) security, dynamic gesture recognition, through-the-wall radar imaging and sensing, visible light communication, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and data mining.
