His research domains are: Advanced concrete materials; Cement and cementitious composites; Concrete Engineering; Concrete Structures; Sustainable Construction. His areas of research include cutting-edge concrete engineering and circular economy. His current research focuses on adopting and optimizing the combined utilization of industrial by-products, agricultural waste, construction & demolition waste in the self-compacting concrete and examining its structural performance.
Engr. Ahsan Saeed is a Professional Engineer (PE) specialized in Structural Engineering. He has 9 years of rich experience in teaching, research and management in the field of civil engineering. He is currently serving as a Lecturer in the department of Civil Engineering Technology, National Skills University, Islamabad. His role involves teaching undergraduate Technology courses under Outcome based education (OBE) system.
He has acquired BSc. Civil Engineering and MSc. Civil Engineering (specialization in Structural Engineering) from UET Taxila. During his Master’s research he has studied the effect of various mineral fillers on self-compacting mortar. He has worked as a Lab Engineer in Civil Engineering Department, Wah Engineering College, University of Wah, Taxila. He has worked as an Assistant Director Engineering in WASA, LDA Lahore. He has also worked as a Structural Engineer in Faisal & Fahad Associates, Bahria Town, Rawalpindi.
