The Coordinator-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, praised the services of Vice Chancellor National Skills University Islamabad (NSU) during the COVID-19 pandemic and popularizing skills education across the country. According to him, the word Skill has become a synonym for the NSU and its leadership. Notably, people across the country will remember the services of Prof. Mukhtar during COVID-19. He participated in more than 300 TV, radio, and general programs to apprise the public regarding preventive measures for viral infections. Worth mentioning here is that the US Government recognized Prof. Mukhtar's services for viral research with a unique outstanding scientist's visa award.
Prof. Iqbal Choudhary also gave a prestigious COMSTECH shield of appreciation to Prof. Muhammad Mukhtar, and both agreed that National Skills University Islamabad will serve as training partners for students from the OIC countries. Skills training will be through the digital platform and hands-on teaching-learning methodologies. Prof. Dr. Mukhtar thanked the COMSTECH Coordinator General for support towards popularizing technological education in Pakistan and across the Muslim world, particularly the COMSTECH members nations.
