His research interests are the development and characterization of nanocomposite solid polymer electrolytes for energy storage devices applications.
Dr. Rahmat obtained his B.Sc degree from the Islamia College Peshawar, Peshawar, Pakistan. He obtained his M.Sc and M.Phil in Physical Chemistry from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He was awarded his Ph.D. (Indigenous Fellow) in Physical Chemistry from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2012. He was then awarded a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship (TWAS-USM) at the University Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia (2016-2017).
Dr. Rahmat was appointed Lecturer at the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan (2007-2008). He was appointed to a Sr. Research Officer in Chemistry at the National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE), Islamabad in 2008. He was appointed at the National Skills University (NSU), Islamabad in 2018.
