Workplace Safety And Health Certificate

Participation in this program will enable you to work on different OSH projects and learn different skills under competent trainers and industry professionals. This course is specially designed for individuals who want to excel their knowledge, information, skills and training in the field of occupational safety and health such as students, supervisors, officers, managers, engineers, employees, laborers, employers, and contractors etc.

Tasks You Can Perform (Competencies) On Certificate Completion

• Identify and assess risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations
• Create analytical reports of safety data
• Inspect production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe
• Order repairs for unsafe and/or damaged equipment
• Focus on prevention by keeping up with equipment maintenance and employee training
• Present safety principles to staff in meetings or lecture-type training sessions
• Participate in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques
• Determine whether the finished product is safe for customers
• Create safety plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and business processes
• Share information, suggestions, and observations with project leadership to create consistency in safety standards throughout the production team and the entire company
• Meet organization’s health and safety goals
• Investigate causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site
• Liaison with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident
• Find the best way to prevent future accidents
• Review and report on the staff's compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance

This certificate has eleven modules and will be completed in 3 months comprising two days (4 hours per day) per week class schedule. Each module has been prepared by professionals working in the field. The primary focus of each module is to provide participants with the necessary skills and abilities needed for workplace safety and health.

The course duration is 48 Hrs (4 hours/week) and is divided into the following modules:
