n a heartwarming celebration of the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan, the China Media Group, CGTN Urdu, and FM98 DostChannel commemorated the 73rd anniversary of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations at the Pak-China Friendship Centre Islamabad. Among several others, around 200 students, faculty members, and university administrators from the National Skills University Islamabad participated in the event.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Jiang Zaidong, China's Ambassador to Pakistan, alongside other dignitaries such as Ms. Naghmana Hashmi, former Pakistani Ambassador to China, Senator Sehar Kamran, Ms. Du Jianing (Tabassum), Director at China Media Group and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor of the National Skills University Islamabad. Their attendance underscored the significance of this enduring relationship. Ambassador Jiang praised the strong bond between the two nations, describing it as "a thriving tree with deep roots and luxuriant leaves." He highlighted the evolution of their relationship from 1951 to an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. "The iron-clad friendship between China and Pakistan has stood the test of time," he noted, emphasizing the substantial impact of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on Pakistan's development.
The celebrations were not just about speeches; they featured enthralling performances by renowned artists from all provinces of Pakistan that brought to life the cultural connections between the two countries. From traditional dances to melodious songs, these performances symbolized the youthful vigor and shared aspirations that drive the China-Pakistan friendship. The performance of famous Pakistani singer Mr. Saher Ali Bagga in several Pakistani languages, including Chinese songs, enthralled the audience with joy and happiness.
National Skills University Islamabad participants played a pivotal role in the event, showcasing their appreciation for the friendly ties between the two countries. Their involvement reflected the institution's commitment to fostering international relations and cultural exchange and underscored the university's role in promoting global understanding and cooperation. In his concluding remarks, Ambassador Jiang's hopeful words resonated: "May the people of China and Pakistan enjoy peace and prosperity! May the China-Pakistan friendship flourish and prosper forever!"
