BS Hospitality and Tourism Management


The Department of Management Sciences plans to offer a 4-year undergraduate degree program in Hospitality and Tourism Management, aimed at developing students’ expertise in managing hospitality services, tourism operations, and customer experience. The program will focus on equipping students with the necessary skills to effectively manage hotels, resorts, travel agencies, and event management services. It will further emphasize service excellence, cultural awareness, sustainable tourism practices, and leadership development, preparing graduates to excel in the dynamic and globally competitive hospitality industry.

Program Goals for BS BS Hospitality and Tourism Management

1. Ethical Conduct and Cultural Sensitivity:

The program aims to foster a strong sense of ethical conduct and cultural sensitivity by educating students on responsible tourism, sustainable hospitality practices, and ethical decision-making in diverse cultural settings.

2. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

The program seeks to develop students’ analytical and problem-solving skills by equipping them with the ability to assess hospitality operations, analyze customer feedback, and implement data-driven strategies for service enhancement.

3. Communication and Customer Service Excellence:

The program is designed to enhance students’ communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively interact with diverse clientele, resolve conflicts, and deliver exceptional customer service in hospitality and tourism settings.

4. Core Hospitality and Tourism Knowledge:

The program provides comprehensive knowledge in hospitality management, travel and tourism operations, event management, and sustainable tourism practices, aligning academic learning with industry standards.

5. Technological and Operational Proficiency:

The program intends to equip students with proficiency in hospitality management systems, reservation software, digital marketing tools, and data analytics, enabling them to implement innovative solutions and optimize operational efficiency in the hospitality and tourism industry.
